Marin renderà visibili le sue opere a Roma.

Roma ospiterà fino al 2 Febbraio le opere dell'artista Javier Marin che saranno esposte nel centro della Capitale: nella terrazza del Pincio, proprio sopra Piazza del Popolo ed in Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina verranno messe in mostra 14 delle sue opere monumentali mentre altre, di piccole e medie dimensioni, saranno visibili al museo Macro di testaccio.
La sua visione artistica è stata molto influenzata da grandi autori italiani del 1500 come Pantorno, Rosso Fiorentino e Michelangelo. Le sue statue, fortemente barocche, sono state da lui rielaborate attraverso immagini e soggetti propri della cultura del suo paese, il Messico.

Le scuderie del Quirinale ospitano per la prima volta un artista olandese molto importante del XVII secolo: Johannes Vermeer. 
Le opere prestateci da molti musei internazionali per questa mostra sono circa 35 affiancati da altre 50 di artisti suoi contemporanei (Carel Fabritius, Gerard ter Borch, Gerrit Dau, Nicolaes Maes, Gabriel Metsu, Frans Van Mieris, Jacob Ochtervelt, Jan Steen.). Opere molto importanti per comprendere a pieno il periodo storico e lo stile di vita nelle città olandesi in cui il fermento artistico era molto alto come Amsterdam, Haarlem e Leida.
I suoi soggetti prediletti sono quelli casalinghi in cui è molto forte il senso di realismo. Vengono rappresentati famiglia, gesti e momenti della vita quotidiana, letture, scrittura, musica e squarci della città.
